IPSA (the International Professional Surrogates’ Association) will be hosting a one-day, intensive workshop designed to introduce therapists to working with surrogate partners. A surrogate partner is a professional who, together with a therapist, helps clients overcome obstacles to physical and emotional intimacy through practical exercises, guidance, and relationship modeling.
In this workshop you will:

Be introduced to the theory, structure, and practice of Surrogate Partner Therapy

Learn what clients benefit from working with a surrogate partner

Experience some common techniques employed in Surrogate Partner Therapy

Address ethical and legal considerations when working with a surrogate partner

Meet local surrogate partners
Friday, February 23rd: Come meet our surrogate partners and IPSA president, Vena Blanchard, during our pre-workshop, informal social event, from 6-9pm.*
Saturday. February 24th: join us for an all-day, intensive workshop at the Viva Center from 9am-5pm, lead by IPSA president Vena Blanchard.*
* Wine & cheese provided during Friday’s evening’s gathering. Snacks, water, tea, and lunch with a vegetarian/vegan option provided during Saturday’s workshop.
Who should attend:

Licensed therapists, counselors, and sex educators who are curious about surrogate partner therapy

Therapists and counselors who have worked with surrogate partners, but are unfamiliar with IPSA’s professional standards and code of ethics

Experienced therapists and counselors who would like to network with other professionals and meet IPSA-trained surrogate partners
